Compare: GMC Sierra 1500 VS Ford F-150 at Fred Beans GMC of Doylestown

When you're looking for a truck that can get the job done, you'll want to check out both the GMC Sierra 1500 and the Ford F-150. These trucks are great options for your daily Doylestown drive, but the GMC Sierra 1500 may pull out ahead. Not only does the GMC Sierra 1500 offer more premium interior luxuries and advanced technology, but it also has a diesel engine that can provide the power and efficiency you crave. Check out the differences between the Sierra 1500 and F-150 below.

Performance and Capability

The GMC Sierra 1500 is the only half-ton truck in the segment to offer a diesel engine for 2026. This means, with the 3.0-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine, you can find up to 495 pound-feet of low-end torque and up to 30 MPG on the highway. The Ford F-150 has several powertrain options, but doesn't offer a diesel variety. The F-150 also only offers up to 26 highway MPG ratings, causing it to use more gas throughout your Quakertown or Telford drives. The Sierra 1500 also offers up to 13,300 pounds of towing power, which is slightly behind the Ford F-150 with its up to 13,500 pounds of towing capacity.

Technology and Infotainment

When you're looking for a way to stay connected, both trucks offer a wide range of technological infotainment features. The GMC Sierra 1500 comes with a larger standard infotainment touchscreen. This 13.4-inch screen gives you more of a view than the 12-inch screen found in the Ford F-150 trucks.

Luxury and Comfort

The GMC Sierra 1500 is known for its luxury features, especially in its Denali Ultimate trim level. This trim contains full-grain leather, open-pore wood, and 16-way massaging seats, among many other high-end comforts. The Ford F-150 has several lavish items, but it doesn't quite reach the level of luxury the GMC Sierra 1500 can.

The exterior of each truck is built to hold the items you need throughout New Hope. The GMC Sierra 1500 contains a larger cargo bed, with up to 89.1 cubic feet of space available compared to the 77.4 cubic feet found in the Ford F-150. Drivers around Warrington and Warminster will also love the six-function MultiPro Tailgate attached to the Sierra 1500. The F-150 has an available Pro Access Tailgate, which is similar in style.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Both trucks come with a wide range of safety technologies and driver assistance programs. The GMC Sierra 1500 includes the GMC Pro Safety suite and the Ford F-150 has the Ford Co-Pilot 360 programs. Both come with several helpful features, like automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, and lane keep assist. They also both have a hands-free driving program available. The GMC Super Cruise system in the GMC Sierra 1500 offers a broader mapped network and can be used while towing. The BlueCruise system in the Ford F-150 does not have as much access.

Value and Pricing

While the pricing on each vehicle varies, both trucks have average MSRPs that you'll want to check out. The 2026 GMC Sierra 1500 is available in eight trim levels, and the 2026 Ford F-150 is available in nine trim levels. The 2026 GMC Sierra 1500 has a starting MSRP of around $40,000 and continues to go up to the highest MSRP in the Denali Ultimate trim level of around $87,000. The 2026 Ford F-150 has a starting MSRP of around $39,000 and rises up to around $110,000 in the Raptor R trim level. Of course, each trim level includes different benefits and features, so you'll want to explore each option to see which model may be the right choice for you.
